Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an Analytics Engineer in the Department of Pharmacy to partner with pharmacy leadership, develop reporting and analytics, and translate healthcare data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence and patient outcomes.

You will design and maintain analytics assets, SQL queries, semantic models, and data pipelines, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

Experience in healthcare analytics and clinical operations.
Experience with Epic data models or similar healthcare data models.
Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and data visualization.
Strong SQL development and data modeling skills.
Familiarity with CI/CD and source control practices.

Responsibilities

Partner with Pharmacy leadership to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
Translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Design, develop, validate, and maintain reporting and analytics assets.
Develop SQL queries, data transformations, and semantic models.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.
Participate in analytics engineering best practices and documentation.
