Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Analytics Engineer in the Department of Pharmacy to serve as a trusted analytics partner, developing reporting, semantic modeling, and analytics solutions to support medication use, pharmacy operations, and regulatory reporting.

You will translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive quality improvement and operational excellence through data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or four years of equivalent technical experience.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, GitLab, and CI/CD practices preferred.
Experience with Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito, or other Epic data models preferred.
Strong SQL development, data modeling, and semantic modeling skills.
Experience developing Power BI and Tableau dashboards and self-service analytics.

Responsibilities

Partner with Pharmacy leadership to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
Communicate project progress, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
Design, develop, and maintain reporting, semantic modeling, and analytics solutions.
Develop SQL queries and data transformations to support operations and regulatory reporting.
Translate data findings into clear insights for frontline and executive audiences.
Support quality improvement, patient safety, and operational excellence initiatives with analytics.
