Texas Oncology’s Midland clinic seeks a Pharmacy/Admixture Technician to join our team. Hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm, with lunch from 12:30 pm to 1 pm.

The role involves compounding medications under supervision, ensuring accurate orders, and maintaining inventory and compliance within an oncology setting. Under supervision of a pharmacist, you will handle IV admixture, prepare medications, and support documentation and pre-billing tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry level to three years in a pharmacy.
• Three to five years pharmacy IV experience preferred.
• IV certification preferred; pharmacy technician credentials encouraged.
• ASCP accredited or community college program recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of medication orders under supervision.
• Verify orders with patient and physician authorization.
• Admix drugs accurately and timely per guidelines.
• Calculate dosage volumes and conversions as needed.
• Maintain controlled substance records per regulations.
• Clean hoods and check drugs for expiry; QA duties.
• Maintain temperature logs and treatment drug logs.
• Manage inventory, lot numbers, and expirations.
• Support label prep, data entry, and pre-billing review.
• Assist with cleaning and USP-compliant maintenance.
