Job summary

Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company is seeking a Pharmacy Account Executive to act as a trusted PBM expert, supporting clients and driving growth across health plans. You will partner with medical sales teams, clients, and consultants to deliver strategic pharmacy solutions that improve outcomes and lower total cost of care.

Responsibilities include managing a defined book of business, leading client presentations, and identifying opportunities to expand programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PBM or pharmacy-related experience supporting client accounts.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit management and healthcare operations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a defined book of business by supporting client retention, satisfaction, and pharmacy performance outcomes.
• Serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, clients, brokers, and consultants.
• Partner with medical sales teams to execute retention and growth strategies aligned to client goals.
• Lead client presentations and meetings, communicating performance results and recommending pharmacy solutions.
• Identify and advance opportunities to expand pharmacy programs and increase overall value to the client.
• Support pricing, competitive intelligence, and carve-out defense strategies to retain and grow accounts.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure effective service delivery and consistent client communication.
• Analyze pharmacy utilization and trends to provide consultative insights and recommendations.
• Support RFPs, finalist presentations, and implementation activities for new and existing business.
• Act as an escalation point for pharmacy-related client issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
