Qualifications
- Medical office or retail pharmacy experience with knowledge of prescription drug insurance and prior authorization processes.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Required
- Registered Pharmacy Technician - New York State Board of Pharmacy within 90 Days Required
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of prescription workflows, insurance processes, and prior authorization requirements.
- Collaborates with pharmacists, prescribers, case managers, and contract pharmacy partners to prevent therapy delays.
- Identifies and resolves barriers to medication fulfillment and ensures coordination of prescription access.
- Responds promptly and compassionately to patient inquiries and recognizes language assistance needs.
