Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-3 years hospital pharmacy experience and/or PGY-1 residency preferred.
• Pharmacotherapy or other relevant Board Certification preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year of eligibility.
• New York State Pharmacist license

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide safe and effective care.
• Carefully review clinical status and therapeutic options and intervene with prescribers as needed.
• Participate in rounds, monitor drug therapy, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee IV compounding, prepare intravenous admixtures, and supervise pharmacy technicians.
• Assist in development and implementation of inpatient and ambulatory care programs.
