Job summary

The University of Rochester seeks a Pharmacy Technician to manage medication coordination and help patients access medications. The role supports prior authorizations, PAP enrollment, and timely delivery of prescriptions, coordinating with prescribers, patients, and staff for seamless care.

You will assist with PAPs, billing, and compliance while supporting the Pharmacy Call Center and ensuring high patient satisfaction in a fast-paced health system setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a Medical, Secretarial, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional presentation.
• Demonstrated customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages medication coordination and helps obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions.
• Enrolls patients in patient assistance programs and tracks PAP eligibility.
• Coordinates with patients, providers, and staff to ensure timely delivery and payment.
• Assists with prescription audits and provides training to new team members.
