Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to coordinate medications, manage prior authorizations, and enroll patients in financial assistance programs to prevent interruptions in treatment.

Collaborating with pharmacy staff, social services, and patients, you will ensure timely delivery, proper documentation, and excellent customer service through the Pharmacy Call Center.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a medical, secretarial, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication coordination and assist with prior authorization processes.
• Communicate with prescriber's office to submit prescriptions for PA and insurance.
• Enroll patients in PAPs and track eligibility and status.
• Coordinate delivery and adherence, and document patient interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service through the Pharmacy Call Center.
