Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Pharmacy Access Manager to guide patients through the access journey from prescription intake to treatment initiation, leveraging pharmacy technician expertise to resolve coverage, authorization, and affordability barriers.

This remote role coordinates with patients, providers, payors, and pharmacies, ensures complete documentation, manages appeals and prior authorizations, and drives timely access while upholding privacy and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in your state of residence.
• Willing to obtain Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
• 2–4 years in pharmacy/reimbursement or related roles, including 2+ years as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, and reimbursement processes preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with providers, pharmacies, payors, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and privacy/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end patient access case activities from prescription intake through treatment initiation, including benefit verification and prior authorization support.
• Review prescription and patient information for completeness; follow up as needed.
• Coordinate with specialty, dispensing, and other pharmacy partners regarding receipt, processing, and fulfillment.
• Monitor progression and identify barriers delaying access.
• Support appeals and copay/assistance coordination.
• Serve as primary point of contact among patients, providers, payors, pharmacies, and client stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate case documentation in compliance with SOPs and privacy requirements.
