Job summary

PRO-spectus seeks a Pharmacy Access Manager to navigate the patient access journey from prescription intake through treatment initiation. You will use pharmacy technician knowledge to address barriers in coverage, authorization, and fulfillment, coordinating with providers, payors, pharmacies, and internal teams.

The role requires pharmacy technician experience and an active license, with willingness to obtain a Texas license.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in a pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, hospital, patient support, healthcare, reimbursement, or customer service-focused role.
• 2+ years as a Pharmacy Technician.
• NABP Certification through either Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT).
• Experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, reimbursement support, copay assistance, or patient assistance programs preferred.
• Understanding of specialty pharmaceutical markets, reimbursement dynamics, and patient access challenges across diverse payor landscapes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end patient access case activities from prescription intake through treatment initiation, including benefit verification and prior authorization support.
• Coordinate with pharmacy partners regarding prescription receipt, processing status, insurance requirements, and affordability considerations.
• Monitor prescription progression and identify barriers delaying patient access to therapy.
• Support prior authorization and appeals processes by coordinating required information with providers, payors, and internal teams.
• Assist with copay assistance, patient assistance programs, and other affordability resources.
