Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacology to educate osteopathic medical students. The role emphasizes teaching, student advising, and participation in scholarly activity within the Biomedical Sciences department at the Philadelphia Campus.

The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in Pharmacology or related field, experience in higher education, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualificações

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check.
• A terminal or equivalent degree in Pharmacology or a closely related discipline is required (e.g., PhD, PharmD, DO, MD).
• Experience in higher education, with specific experience in teaching Pharmacology, is required.
• Experience with active learning/evidence-based pedagogy (e.g., case-based learning, team-based learning) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Pharmacology faculty and other educators to integrate Pharmacology into systems-based courses.
• Provide Pharmacology instruction for medical and graduate students across the preclinical curriculum.
• Participate in course administration and preclinical instruction.
• Develop and implement formative and summative assessments of student performance.
