The Bureau of Prisons in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our medical staff, ensuring safe custody and public safety by providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inmates.
Candidates must hold a Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (ACPE) or approved graduate education toward a Pharm.D./Ph.D., be licensed in the United States, and meet color vision requirements. Credentialing will verify examinations, licensure, and education.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Basic Requirements: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. OR 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree. AND Licensure: Applicants also must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: ALL applicants MUST upload proof of current, active and unrestricted license for verification at the time you apply. AND Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors. NOTE: Employees currently assigned to positions in this occupational series as of September 2017 will be considered to have met the basic requirements for the position occupied. All qualified referred candidates will undergo a credentialing process prior to employment with the Bureau of Prisons. This process includes validation of examinations, licensure, education, internship and residency. If applicable, Credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
