Partners Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist Supervisor for our Springfield, NJ location. The role oversees dispensing operations and staff supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication orders and patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, state licensure as a Pharmacist, and 2 years of pharmacist experience with supervisory responsibility. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable understanding of current medication information, health care concepts and regulations relative to outpatient and institutional pharmacy.
• Interprets and clarifies new and refill orders with 100% accuracy to ensure appropriateness and patient safety.
• Prepares or causes to be prepared medication orders with 100% accuracy.
• Provides and is responsible for final check on all prepared medications with 100% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provides facility support and documentation as needed (incident reports, controlled drug sheets).
• Provides routine, rotating, on-call, and weekend coverage.
• Monitors workflow and directs technicians to maintain smooth operations.
• Oversees daily operation of dispensing activities and supervision of staff pharmacists and technicians.
• Assigns staff daily tasks and prioritizes work to ensure timely medications and supplies.

Now Hiring - Pharmacist Supervisor - Partners Pharmacy of New Jersey 50 Lawrence Road, Springfield NJ 07081

Hours: Monday through Friday 9-5:30pm, 9:30-6pm

ThePharmacist Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Has knowledgeable understanding of current medication information, health car concepts and all regulations relative to the practices of outpatient and institutional pharmacy.
2. Interprets and clarifies new and refill order requests with 100% accuracy to ensure appropriateness and maintain patient safety using the patient profile and direct facility contact.
3. Prepares or causes to be prepared, safe, neat, complete medication orders with 100% accuracy
4. Provides and is responsible for final check on all prepared medication to insure completeness with 100% accuracy.
5. Provides facility support and suggestions. When appropriate documentation including incident reports, controlled drug sheets, etc.
6. Provides routine, rotating, on-call, and Saturday/Sunday coverage
7. Routinely monitors workflow, suggests adjustments, requests assistance or directs technicians as needed to maintain smooth running operations.
8. Provides secondary pharmacy activities & responsibilities (i.e. purchasing, clinical, etc.) as needed.
9. Oversees and is responsible for the daily operation of dispensing pharmacy activities including the supervision of Staff Pharmacists, Data Entry Technicians, & Production Technicians
10. Assigns staff daily tasks and effectively prioritizes work to assure that all required medications, supplies and services are provided correctly & completely within required timeframe.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Professional Experience:

• Registered Pharmacist in the state of operations
• 2 years of Pharmacist experience, at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity
• Familiarity with Pharmacy systems
• Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, communication and respect
