Job summary

Partners Pharmacy in New Jersey is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role focuses on pre-pack and daily processing of prescriptions in a long-term care/retail setting, with responsibilities from labeling to inventory management.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, be registered as a Pharmacy Technician and/or hold a PTCB license, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license.
• Experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment.
• Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained.
• Maintain prescription prioritization throughout prescription processing.
• Process and label all prescriptions.
• Translate SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping and uncapping vials and bottles.
• Fill cassettes, TCG cycle fills.
• Access, input and retrieve information to/from the computer.
• Maintain in-stock by ensuring all inventory management policies and procedures are followed.
• Utilize appropriate report(s) to maintain replenishment.
• Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return.
• Assist with putting away drug order (except Clls) as permitted by law.

Now Hiring –Pre-pack Pharmacy Technician – Partners Pharmacy New Jersey 50 Lawrence Road Springfield NJ 07081

Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5:30pm; every other weekend; 2 major and 1 minor holiday

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained at all times
• Maintain prescription prioritization throughout prescription processing
• Process and label all prescriptions
• Translate SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping and uncapping vials and bottles
• Fill cassettes, TCG cycle fills, etc.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license
• Experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment
• Experience in Frameworks, a definite plus
• Communication, problem solving and organizational skills a must.
• Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlines.
• Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must!
