Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Retail Pharmacist to perform clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in retail settings such as pharmacies within drugstores, grocery stores, or standalone community outlets. You will review prescriptions for accuracy, fill prescriptions, advise patients on medication use, and explain drug interactions and side effects.

The position requires current pharmacist license in state, CPR if applicable, health certificate, and compliance with federal/state

Qualifications

• Current registration and/or license as a Pharmacist in state of practice required.
• One (1) year of experience working as a licensed pharmacist preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Fill prescriptions and ensure proper labeling.
• Advise patients on how to use medications and potential side effects.
• Explain drug interactions and monitor for adverse effects.
• Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of prescription medications and OTC stock.

Job description

The Retail Pharmacist performs clinical and professionalpharmaceutical work in retail settings such as a pharmacies located within adrugstore, grocery store, or as a standalone in a community. The Retail Pharmacist is responsible forreviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy, filling prescriptions and advisingpatients on how to use their medications. The Retail Pharmacist providesinformation and advice regarding drug interactions and potential side effectsas well as analyzing prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and toprevent excessive usage or harmful interactions. The Retail Pharmacist works to inventory andorder prescription medications, over-the-counter medications and non-medicationpharmacy stock.
