Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive care in the Behavioral Health Unit in Washington. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and provide psychotherapeutic sessions for individuals, families, and groups, while ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.

Positions are available in Olympia or Chelan, WA with contract-full-time or travel options.

Qualifications

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum 1 year in the past two years as an RN in Behavioral Health Unit (BH).
• Associate’s degree in nursing; ACEN/CCNE accredited; CGFNS verification for overseas education.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Collect and assess patient health and behavioral information.
• Develop mental health diagnoses and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapeutic sessions to individuals, families, and groups.
• Provide non-violent crisis intervention and maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and response to treatment.
• Apply and manage restraints per established protocols.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage medication therapy.
• Participate in discharge planning and care continuity.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to provide high-quality, comprehensive nursing care within the Behavioral Heath Unit (BH). These positions will support the care of patients with complex medical and surgical conditions and require nurses who are comfortable managing high-acuity patients and providing care across a wide range of ages and clinical needs.

This role requires a dependable nursing professional who can meet government qualification, credentialing, security, and onboarding requirements while working under a personal services arrangement. The ideal candidate will bring recent registered nursing experience in a primary care or occupational medicine setting, a current unrestricted RN license, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to supporting mission readiness and high-quality care for service members and eligible patient populations.

Additional Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and assess comprehensive patient health and behavioral information.
• Develop mental health and nursing diagnoses, individualized treatment plans, patient goals, and expected outcomes.
• Provide psychotherapeutic sessions to individuals, families, and groups.
• Provide non-violent crisis intervention and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Monitor, document, and report patient behavior, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), progress, and response to treatment.
• Implement precautions to prevent patient injury, suicide, and elopement.
• Coordinate patient care and participate in supportive group sessions.
• Provide patient education, including psychotherapeutic strategies and healthy-living education.
• Apply and manage manual and mechanical restraints in accordance with established protocols.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage medication therapy according to established procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
