Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is looking for a Retail Pharmacy Technician to work under a licensed pharmacist and help ensure accurate, timely distribution of medications in a retail setting.
The role involves maintaining drug inventory, processing prescriptions and insurance claims, and assisting customers in person and by phone. Relevant program completion and licensure are preferred, with state requirements applied.
The Retail Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Retail Pharmacy Technician is responsible for maintaining a professional attitude that ensures efficient, accurate, and timely distribution of medications processed through the retail pharmacy. The Retail Pharmacy Technician will maintain the drug inventory, process patient prescriptions, process insurance claims, and maintain patient records. Responsibilities also includes assisting pharmacy customers both in person and via in bound phone calls.
