Scope of Responsibilities
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department. Assists in training and developing staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting deadlines, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies. Uses experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish tasks and goals.
Job Summary
Responsible for implementing and adhering to the Kinney Standard of Practice to provide high-quality healthcare services.
- Dispenses prescriptions and counsels patients following the Kinney Standard of Practice.
- Performs quality assurance to ensure accurate prescriptions and reports incidents per guidelines.
- Complies with all State and Federal pharmacy regulations.
- Manages third-party claims submissions, resubmissions, and collections.
- Manages pharmacy inventory for optimal stock levels and oversees order processing from suppliers.
- Checks for outdated inventory and manages returns.
- Maintains prescription files and manual records per regulations.
- Utilizes pharmacy technology effectively for maximum ROI.
- Ensures excellent customer service from all staff.
- Follows loss prevention policies and reports deviations.
- Implements marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
- Maintains a clean, professional pharmacy environment.
- Builds relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Stays updated on developments in pharmacy and healthcare fields and integrates them into practice.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Facilitates communication among staff and pharmacy personnel.
- Supports budget and sales goals, managing operations within financial guidelines.
- Assists in training pharmacy staff, including use of training programs.
- Interfaces with auditors and agencies as needed.
- Completes mandatory and regulatory training.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education
- Minimum BS or PharmD degree in Pharmacy.
Job Requirements
- Valid State License and registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Successful drug screening tests.
- Certified Immunizer.

Compensation
$85,800.00 - $127,220.71 per year. Final offer based on skills, experience, and education. Compliance with wage laws applicable to multistate organization.
