Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in St. Louis North 63136, located inside Christian Northeast Hospital, seeks a Pharmacist for PRN/As Needed weekend and holiday coverage. You will contribute to drug distribution, IV admixture, and clinical support in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes maintaining supply, patient counseling on discharge medications, and training newer staff. A state license is required; BLS may be required per state. The position offers prospective advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Schedule: PRN/As Needed - weekend and holiday coverage needed (Typically 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks)

Compensation: $65/PRN Rate
