Job summary

Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Pharmacist for per diem coverage with needs every 3rd weekend and occasional weekday hours. Compensation is $75 per hour with company-paid parking.

You will support clinical hospital pharmacy functions, maintain drug inventories, educate patients on medications after discharge, and contribute to staff training and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.
• Pharmacist degree and hospital residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
