Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis North, located inside Christian Northeast Hospital, is seeking a Pharmacist for PRN/As Needed weekend and holiday coverage. Compensation is $65/PRN rate.

This hospital provides inpatient post-ICU care to chronically ill patients, with a focus on compassionate, excellent care. Responsibilities

• Knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
• Inform and instruct patients on discharged medications.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Located inside of Christian Northeast Hospital

Schedule: PRN/As Needed - weekend and holiday coverage needed (Typically 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks) Compensation: $65/PRN Rate

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.


• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.


• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.


• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.


• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.


• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.


• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.


• Current State licensure required.


• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
