Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to join our inpatient team at Lake St. Louis, MO. The role covers all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture, with clinical support in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires state licensure and BLS as applicable, with Pharm D or BS Pharm and residency preferred. This is a PRN weekend role with potential for additional days as agreed.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice pharmacy is required.
• BLS if state requires it.
• Pharm D or BS Pharm with residency or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on medications to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
