Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Pharmacist for PRN weekend and holiday shifts to support inpatient rehabilitation services. The pharmacist will oversee drug distribution, IV admixture, and patient counseling, ensuring safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital stay.

The ideal candidate holds PharmD or BS Pharm with current state licensure; hospital pharmacy residency is preferred.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharm required or equivalent.
• Current state licensure required.
• Hospital pharmacy residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Having working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
