Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO is seeking a Pharmacist to join our inpatient rehab team. This PRN role includes working one weekend per month (Sat/Sun) with occasional weekday shifts, located inside St.

Joseph's Hospital. Compensation is $62 per PRN hour, with orientation and onboarding for a smooth start. We provide a supportive environment addressing brain and spinal injuries, neurological and orthopedic conditions, and a focus on compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires current state pharmacist licensure and completion of all education requirements.
• BLS certification if mandated by the state.
• PharmD or BS Pharmacy plus an advanced degree or residency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain drug distribution systems and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
• Clearly inform and instruct patients on medications after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
