Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ is seeking a Pharmacist to join our medication services team. This per diem role supports inpatient operations with weekday and weekend shifts and a competitive hourly compensation.

You will ensure drug distribution, IV admixture, patient education on discharge medications, and participate in training and quality improvement initiatives. Current pharmacist licensure is required; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

• Current state licensure as a Pharmacist.
• One or more years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support to hospital pharmacy operations in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the hospital pharmacy.
• Inform and educate patients on prescribed medications at discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Engage in patient drug therapy monitoring and quality improvement.

Position: Pharmacist

Location: 201 Pleasant Hill Road, Chester NJ 07930

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), Weekday shifts 8A-4P / 12P-8P; Weekend shifts 9A-5P

Compensation: $63.00 hourly + Shift Differential

As The Pharmacist, You Will Be Responsible For

• Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Pharmacist required

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
