Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ, is seeking a Pharmacist for per diem shifts (8A-4P Weekdays, 9A-5P Weekends). Compensation is $63.00 hourly plus shift differential, with opportunities for growth within a large rehabilitation system.

The role covers drug distribution, central operations, IV admixture, and provides clinical support in a fast-paced hospital setting. Must be licensed and able to work six shifts per six-week cycle, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Pharmacist required.
• One or more years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage drug distribution, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies.
• Educate patients on medications upon discharge.
• Develop and participate in staff training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.

Responsibilities

As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

• Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Pharmacist required

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
