Job summary

King Soopers in Colorado seeks a licensed pharmacist to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will fill prescriptions accurately, counsel patients, and maintain records in accordance with state and federal laws, ensuring patient safety and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought, with no stipulations or Board ordered restrictions
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam
• Successfully passed the NAPLEX exam
• Ability to work at various locations
• Ability to travel independently

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products
• Interpret, fill RX orders accurately and in accordance with laws
• Provide drug counseling with customers and prescribers
• Maintain accurate RX records and inventory including controlled substances
• Communicate with prescribers and prescribers’ staff
• Demonstrate ability to utilize RX computer system efficiently
• Oversee departmental administrative needs in the absence of the manager
• Notify management of accidents or safety issues
• Assist with supervision and delegation of responsibilities to associates
