Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a licensed Registered Pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

This role involves immunizations, MTM, inventory control, and building wellness programs. You will collaborate with store leadership and other departments, maintain HIPAA compliance, and uphold Hy-Vee policies.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and annual inventory
• Assist with inventory control including ordering and stocking
• Coach, train, and educate pharmacy staff
• Market pharmacy services to schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs
• Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality of patient information
• Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
