Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a licensed Registered Pharmacist to join our Retail Pharmacy team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, support the pharmacy team, and participate in wellness programs and community outreach.

You'll administer immunizations, maintain HIPAA compliance, and lead the department in the pharmacist's absence, delivering exceptional service and accurate medication management daily.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
• Ability to administer immunizations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and building rapport.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients per OBRA '90 and regulations.
• Assist with inventory control and annual controlled substances inventory.
• Coach and train pharmacy staff and participate in education.
• Market pharmacy services through schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers.
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
