Qualifications

• Must have active pharmacist license in good standing
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and staff
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail pharmacy
• Strong math skills for dosing and inventory calculations

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with accuracy
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws including HIPAA
• Maintain professional image and adhere to company standards
• Develop knowledge of trade area, customers and competition
• Create a positive pharmacy image through service and cooperation
• Monitor inventory, pricing, records, security and recalls per policy
• Maintain and secure all scheduled drug records and controlled substances
• Adhere to procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources
• Utilize accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits properly
• Maintain all records and reporting as required by Kroger policies
• Keep work area clean and organized to present a professional image
• Ensure timely handling of returns according to policy
• Maintain and service all equipment and update manuals as needed
• Ensure staff are trained on use of tools and state laws
• Display proper signage and information in all areas
• Pursue ongoing professional knowledge and pharmacy skills
