Job summary

Kroger in Christiansburg, VA is seeking a Pharmacist to fulfill prescriptions, counsel patients, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will maintain inventory, monitor controlled substances, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy, providing pharma care, and maintaining policy compliance while delivering excellent customer service. Active pharmacist license and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Effective oral/written communication skills.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Second language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with emphasis on accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure compliance with all laws including HIPAA.
• Maintain professional image and adhere to dress standards.
• Maintain knowledge of the trade area and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image with strong service.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory, and store policies.
• Maintain records and security for scheduled drugs.
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources.
• Ensure accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits are used correctly.
• Maintain all required records to comply with policy and law.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and counters.
