Qualifications

• Dispense prescribed medications and ensure accuracy.
• Counsel patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions.
• Monitor medication adherence and safety.
• Maintain pharmacy operations and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure legality of medicine supply.
• Ensure medicines prescribed are appropriate.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients about medicines and answer questions.
• Provide consultations on prescriptions and non-prescriptions.
• Offer services such as smoking cessation, BP measurement, cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on handling of medical devices.
• Compound medications for external or internal use.
• Prepare sterile solutions following procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and technicians.
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians.
• Work with physicians, nurses, and other staff.
