Job summary

The Pharmacist will join a 24-hour pharmacy team in Taunton, MA, working onsite in a full-time capacity (40+ hours per week). The role includes dispensing medications, maintaining patient records, inventory management, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist license required.
• Attendance: mandatory during first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns.
• Ensure medications are appropriate for patients and comply with applicable pharmacy regulations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, potential reactions, dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for external or internal use.
• Prepare sterile solutions according to established procedures.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.

PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION

• Location: Taunton MA 02780 - 100% on-site
• Payrate: $65.75/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, Flexible scheduling available with varied shift start times and shift lengths.
• Shifts may start as early as 8:00 AM and end as late as 12:00 AM. Weekends are optional and not required.
