We are seeking 2 Massachusetts-licensed Registered Pharmacists to join a 24-hour pharmacy in Taunton, MA. These are critical-need openings with flexible scheduling and varied shift start times and lengths.
Shifts may begin as early as 8:00 AM and may end as late as 12:00 AM, providing flexibility based on availability and pharmacy needs. Weekend shifts are optional.
Accept, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
Monitor patient medication compliance, usage patterns, and potential drug-related issues.
Ensure medications are appropriate for patients and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
Counsel patients regarding medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, interactions, and proper storage.
Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Identify and communicate drug-related problems to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Compound medications for internal and external use.
Prepare sterile solutions in accordance with proper procedures.
Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff.
Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
Educate patients on proper use and handling of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
Provide patient-focused services and medication-related education.
Active Massachusetts Pharmacist (RPh) license required.
Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
Ability to safely and accurately dispense medications.
Strong knowledge of medication therapy, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations.
Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and pharmacy staff.
$65+ per hour
