We are seeking 2 Massachusetts-licensed Registered Pharmacists to join a 24-hour pharmacy in Taunton, MA. These are critical-need openings with flexible scheduling and varied shift start times and lengths. Shifts may begin as early as 8:00 AM and may end as late as 12:00 AM, providing flexibility based on availability and pharmacy needs. Weekend shifts are optional.

Responsibilities

• Accept, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient medication compliance, usage patterns, and potential drug-related issues.
• Ensure medications are appropriate for patients and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, interactions, and proper storage.
• Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Identify and communicate drug-related problems to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Compound medications for internal and external use.
• Prepare sterile solutions in accordance with proper procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Educate patients on proper use and handling of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Provide patient-focused services and medication-related education.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist (RPh) license required.
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Ability to safely and accurately dispense medications.
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and pharmacy staff.
