Job summary

Hy-Vee's Registered Pharmacist role supports patient care in a fast-paced retail pharmacy. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, assist with inventory, and participate in wellness programs to grow pharmacy services.

The position emphasizes teamwork, compliance with OBRA '90 and HIPAA, and community outreach through schools and doctor's offices; you will train staff and ensure excellent service every day.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with regulations.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as needed.
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking, invoices, and data entry.
• Balance third-party accounts and monthly inventory reconciliation.
• Coach and train pharmacy employees and participate in education activities.
