Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead and support pharmacy operations in our retail location, delivering safe and compassionate care to patients. This role emphasizes patient counseling, immunizations, and teamwork with the pharmacy staff.

Responsibilities include managing dispensing, supervising bench shifts in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, and ensuring compliance with state regulations while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching and follow-up of team members.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the team to do the same.
