Job summary

Under indirect supervision, you will fill prescriptions, counsel patients, supervise Pharmacy Technicians, and provide professional services in compliance with standards and laws.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, checking interactions, counseling by phone and in person, managing inventory, billing, and maintaining state licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's level degree in Pharmacy OR PharmD.
• Active and unrestricted Iowa pharmacy license.
• One to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Interprets prescriptions, checks for drug interactions and allergies, and guides technicians.
• Counsels patients by phone and in person, explaining usage and duration of therapy.
• Reviews inventory daily and places orders to maintain adequate stock.
• Ensures proper billing and compliance with insurance, CMS, and board requirements.
• Maintains licensure and professional standards; supports store profitability and relations.
