Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations at a retail location. You will dispense, counsel, immunize, and support the Pharmacy Manager, ensuring patient safety and compliant practice while coaching the team and maintaining high service standards.

This role requires an active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and a clean DEA Excluded Parties record. The position includes regular attendance, training, and flexible scheduling with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching and follow-up.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and caring, and assisting with insurance and medication issues.
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations and supporting technicians in immunization efforts.
