Fred Meyer is seeking a pharmacy intern to support customers and pharmacists in a fast-paced store pharmacy environment. You will learn to counsel patients, assist with OTC recommendations, and process prescriptions under supervision.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a current Pharmacy Intern license are required, with a focus on accuracy, patient care, and teamwork in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering product questions.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceuticals and discuss them with customers and prescribers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Enter patient and prescription data accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Dispense medications correctly and contact prescribers for authorization.
• Process third-party insurance information for customers.
