Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy team across duties from counseling to prescription processing. The role requires active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy and possession of a current state Pharmacy Intern license.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assisting with patient interactions and medication preparation. This part-time opportunity offers exposure to all aspects of the pharmacy workflow, competitive benefits, and potential growth

Qualifications

• Be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products and services.
• Provide drug counseling and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
• Dispense medications and process third party insurance information.
• Contact prescribers' offices for authorization and communicate any safety concerns.
