Job summary

Kroger, including Fred Meyer pharmacies in Oregon, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support clinical counseling, patient care, and dispensing duties while maintaining a safe and compliant pharmacy environment.

The role requires active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy and a current Pharmacy Intern license. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to assist in providing immunizations and handling prescription processing with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products and the store.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
• Assist with over the counter medication recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers for authorization as needed.
• Process third party insurance information for customers and facilitate purchases.
