Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the Fred Meyer Pharmacy team. You will assist pharmacists, counsel customers on medications, and help with prescription processing in a fast-paced store setting.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a current state Pharmacy Intern license are required, with eligibility for a part-time schedule to fit your studies. The role emphasizes safety, customer service and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products and services.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over the counter medications recommendations.
• Be able to accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Process third party insurance information for customers and communicate with insurance companies as needed.
