Job summary

Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to interpret, compound, formulate and monitor physician prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will collaborate with nurses and physicians to deliver safe, high‑quality IV therapies and other injectable medications.

This internship requires enrollment in an ACPE‑accredited college of pharmacy, or eligibility for Washington licensure as an intern, including Washington intern registration.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a college of pharmacy accredited by the ACPE.
• Graduate pharmacist who meets WA licensure requirements except internship hours.
• Foreign pharmacist graduate who passed FPGEE and TOEFL and must complete WA internship hours.

The Pharmacy Intern is responsible for interpreting, compounding, formulating and monitoring all physician prescriptions and provides the best possible drug therapy to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services patients with the highest professional standards under the supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Intern works closely with nurses and physicians to ensure patients are receiving quality care that is delivered in a safe and efficient manner. This requires specific knowledge in compounding, dosing and administration of IV solutions, antibiotics and other intravenous therapies.

Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a college of pharmacy accredited by the Accrediting Council for Pharmaceutical Education. Or
• A graduate pharmacist who meets all legal requirements for licensure in Washington State except for required internship hours that will be completed as an Intern; Or
• A foreign pharmacist graduate who has successfully passed the FPGEE and TOEFL exams and must complete Washington State required internship hours as an Intern.
