Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, Informatics to ensure accurate EHR medication builds across EPIC, Beacon, Willow, and related systems. The role collaborates with clinical pharmacy, IS, oncology, ambulatory, and retail teams.

The position supports service requests, testing plans, admixture records, order sets, and warnings, and leads monthly FDB updates. It also precepts students and residents in a formal informatics rotation.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college.
Maintains current unrestricted licensure as a licensed pharmacist in the State of Rhode Island.
Demonstrates knowledge to care for neonate to geriatric patients with cultural considerations.

Responsibilities

Participates in EHR system enhancements to promote medication safety.
Collaborates to vet requests for new medication builds across affiliates.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of builds for new medications and revisions with IS analysts.
Advises on service request forms, testing plans, admixture records, order panels and order sets, and warnings.
Facilitates monthly First Data Bank (FDB) updates.
Participates in department QA activities and hospital-wide informatics initiatives.
Precepts pharmacy students and residents in informatics rotations.
