Job summary
Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Informatics to join our Pharmacy Informatics team in Baltimore. You will optimize clinical decision support and medication workflows within the EHR for adult and pediatric patients.
You will collaborate with health IT and pharmacy staff, educate learners, and precept ASHP-accredited PGY-1/PGY-2 informatics residents in a dynamic, academic setting.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics or pharmacy.
- Requires current licensure as a pharmacist in any Johns Hopkins approved state.
- Board Certification through BPS or equivalent within 2 years of start date.
- BLS certification within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize clinical decision support for medication ordering, verification and administration in the EHR.
- Act as liaison between pharmacy staff and Health IT project teams to configure medication workflows in the EHR.
- Educate and support pharmacy staff; provide education to students and residents in informatics.
- Precept PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy Informatics residents as part of the residency programs.
