Job summary

Hannaford in Skowhegan, ME is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state laws, maintain patient safety, and oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy.

You will lead staff pharmacists and technicians, manage scheduling and performance, promote immunizations and community engagement, and uphold company standards while delivering outstanding customer service to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current license in good standing in the state(s) in which to practice.
• Current and active immunizing pharmacist certification.
• Complete knowledge of state and Federal laws pertaining to pharmacy practices.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and provide direction to associates.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or Supervising Pharmacist (SP) as required.
• Oversee financial performance of the department (sales, margins, productivity, inventory, payroll, expenses).
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure customer service excellence.
• Promote and participate in growing the pharmacy business through company initiatives and community relationships.
• Perform immunizations according to standards.
• Hire, train, and develop staff pharmacists and technicians.
• Coordinate weekly pharmacist scheduling and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
