Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a high-volume long-term care pharmacy in Rocky Hill, CT. This hands-on leadership role offers full ownership of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and team performance.

You will oversee order entry, verification, cycle fills, procurement, security, and KPIs, while partnering with senior leadership on strategy. A current pharmacist license, 5+ years in pharmacy and proven leadership are required; Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations, including order entry, verification, and cycle-fill workflows.
• Drive workflow efficiency, operational structure, and continuous process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA regulations.
• Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and controlled substance programs.
• Oversee medication procurement, storage, security, and inventory processes.
• Establish and monitor KPIs tied to accuracy, speed, productivity, and service levels.
• Build accountability across the pharmacy team and drive consistent performance.
• Partner with leadership on regulatory matters and operational strategy.

Location: Rocky Hill, CT

Work Setup: Onsite

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 + Bonus

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | No Nights or Weekends

Summary

Our client is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a high-volume long-term care pharmacy supporting the IDD and behavioral health community. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity with full ownership of pharmacy operations, team performance, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys running and optimizing an operation—not simply supervising a function.

What You\'ll Do

What You Bring

Preferred

• Long-term care pharmacy experience
• 3+ years of experience as a PIC or in pharmacy leadership
