Community Care of West Virginia, Inc. seeks a licensed pharmacist to perform clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in compounding and dispensing medications.

You will prepare medications, provide pharmacological information to multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and monitor patient drug therapies. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, dispensing meds, ensuring accuracy, complying with state and federal laws, training staff, and counseling patients on drug therapies and public health

Qualifications

• Pharmacist responsible for dispensing and compounding medications.
• Experience counseling patients on drug therapies.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and detect incompatibilities.
• Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling.
• Monitor drug therapies and advise interventions.
• Organize technicians' workflow and verify preparation/labeling.
• Provide pharmacological information to healthcare teams and patients.
• Train pharmacy staff, students, interns, residents, and health professionals.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal drug laws and maintain records.
• Adhere to infection-control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain narcotic inventory and controlled substances records.
