Job summary

County of Santa Barbara is seeking a Pharmacist‑in‑Charge at the Lompoc Health Care Center Pharmacy. This extra‑help role ensures regulatory compliance, accurate compounding and dispensing, and supervisory support for licensed staff.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required and active; CSR 905 Extra Help appointment understanding.
• Experience in compounding and dispensing medications; accurate recordkeeping.
• Ability to supervise professional and support staff; training and performance feedback.
• Strong communication with physicians, nurses, and patients; documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of all pharmacy transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Fill prescriptions for patients at County facilities and handle third‑party claims.
• Provide functional supervision and training to staff; assist in performance evaluations.
• Document and report medication errors to supervisor.
